Phone numbers can only be active for the parties that are authorized to use them. This means you must have a mandate when the number is used by a party other than its owner.
Examples of when a mandate is needed:
- Porting a number to, or from, LeadDesk.
- Ordering a number to be used by another company.
- Masking a number (if not done using the masking app in the LeadApp Store).
- Changing the registration of a number to show the name of another company.
Steps to follow:
- Read the Document Carefully: Before starting, read through the entire mandate to understand the details required. Make sure that you have the correct mandate that matches your request.
- Fill in Your Details: Look for fields that require your company’s information. This might include your company’s full legal name, address, and contact details. Ensure the information is accurate and official.
- Fill in the Sponsor's Details: Enter the sponsor's official information. Similar to your details, this typically includes their company’s full legal name, address, and contact information. Ensure the information is accurate and official.
- Fill in Additional Information: Some mandates may ask for additional details, for example information about the number, or other relevant information. Fill in these fields as required.
- Review the Document: Go through the filled mandate. Check for errors or missing information. Correct any inaccuracies you find.
- Sign the Mandate: Once you're sure that all the information is correct, check which company’s representative needs to sign the mandate. Ensure that the person signing the mandate has a legal right to sign contracts for the company.
