Before releasing numbers
Before attempting to release any numbers, there are two factors to consider:
- You can only release numbers that are older than 6 months. This is the minimum holding time for numbers.
- If you release a phone number that is associated with an inbound route or queue, releasing the number will immediately remove it from the queue and inbound route also.
Releasing numbers
To release numbers from your account, in your Admin account:
- Go to the General Settings page.
- Go to the Outbound numbers subpage.
- If necessary, search for the number in the All available numbers section.
- Click the three dots icon to the right of the table.
- Click to select Delete.
Special cases
LeadDesk numbers
If numbers are older than 6 months, but you can’t remove them yourself:
- Send a list of the phone numbers to support@leaddesk.com and copy in your account manager.
- Note: Support work for removing numbers is billable work.
Masked numbers
If the numbers in question are masked numbers that have been on your account for less than 6 months:
- Send a list of the phone numbers to support@leaddesk.com and copy in your account manager.
