Analyst AI is an AI tool to accelerate the creation of custom reports. Admin users can generate reports about outbound calls, inbound calls, or callbacks by typing a description of the report in natural language. Analyst AI will translate the request into a table report. You can then view the report and amend it to get the precise format you want.
To start creating reports, in your Admin account:
- Go to the Reports page.
- Go to the Analyst AI subpage.
- Click to select whether the report you want to create concerns Outbound calls, Inbound calls or Callbacks.
- Type your Description of the report you want to generate.
- Click the Generate button.
Analyst AI will interpret your description and generate an SQL query to represent it, then generate that report.
Tips for writing a good Description
Use precise, plain, language, avoiding buzz words and jargon. Keep the instructions direct and clear. The description does not need to be in English. If you feel better able to express your needs in your native language, use it!
Consider what information is actually available for reports. If you ask Analyst AI for information it does not have, it may still try to make a report with unpredictable results. Be prepared to validate the results.
Some specific tips to consider:
- When using a date, include the day, month, and year. Consider using the dd.mm.yyyy format.
- A week is considered to start from Sunday for this purpose.
- Keep the description short. For longer descriptions, break them up into short sentences, using full stops/periods.
- Be specific, better to write "add a column that shows the date of the call" instead of "add a day column".
Use quotes around specific search terms. For example:
- Create a report that shows agent Janne's incoming calls today. Searches by the name "Janne's"
- Create a report that shows agent "Janne"'s incoming calls today. Searches by the name "Janne"
Managing the query
Once AI Analyst has generated the report, you may want to save or change it. Underneath the report are several options for managing the query.
Adding to favourites
If you think this query could be useful to you in the future, you can add it to your favourites.
- Click the heart icon .
- In the Save Query dialog you can type a New query name to make it easier to find again.
- Click the Save button.
Your favourite queries can be accessed by clicking the Open favourites link in the top right of the Analyst AI page.
Regenerating the result
Each time you generate a report from a description, the AI interprets the description and generates an SQL query. Often, there are several ways the AI might interpret the description. If the query it generates is not quite what you had in mind, you may be able to regenerate the query.
- Click the Regenerate the result button .
This will go back to the original description and try a fresh interpretation. This can result in a different report, perhaps closer to your original intent.
Export data to Excel
To export the data from the generated report as an Excel file:
- Click the Export data to Excel button .
An Excel format file will be downloaded, containing the results of the query.
Copy the query
You can also copy the query if you want to review or edit it manually.
- Click the Copy SQL query to clipboard button .
You can then paste the text of the query to wherever you need it. For example you can past it into a query in the Advanced report editor to check or edit it there.
Refining the query
As well as regenerating the query from its original description, you can change, add or remove things from your report as needed.
- Type the change you want to make to the report.
- Click the Refine button.
The query and the resulting report will be modified to reflect the update, where possible.
Limited version
This article describes the full version of Analyst AI, available from the LeadApp Store but before purchasing it, you can try a limited version for free.
The limited version gives access to most of the functionality described above, except that:
- Reports generated in the limited version will show a maximum of five rows of data.
- You cannot save, favourite, export or copy the generated SQL.
- A green banner reminding you to upgrade will be shown across the top of the page.
