Admins can add numbers and number patterns to the Do Not Call list. This list is checked when agents make manual calls, and will prevent calls to specific numbers, or a range of numbers defined by a number pattern.
This is distinct from the blacklist function in that it is not controlled by sponsors, and particular contact requesting not to be called. Instead it can be used to, for example, block calls to particular countries or premium numbers.
The Do not call list is only for use by clients with Omni agents.
Adding a pattern
In your Admin interface:
- Go to the Contacts page.
- Go to the Do not call subpage.
- Click the Add pattern button.
- In the Add pattern dialog, type a valid Pattern (see below).
- Click the Save button.
Valid number patterns
When adding patterns to the Do Not Call list:
- Numbers should follow the e.164 standard. That is to say They should be typed with the international dialing code, but include no spaces or other characters.
- For example, the Finnish number 040 98765432 would need to add the Finnish country code (+358) and drop the leading 0. So it would be typed as +3584098765432.
- Use the % symbol as a wildcard. Use this to add a pattern which blocks more than one number.
- +47% would block all calls to Norway (international code +47).
- +4782% would block all calls to Norway if the number starts 82, a useful option because all numbers that start 82 in Norway are premium rate numbers.
