Adding the extension
First, you'll have to install the Chrome extension from the Chrome web store. In Chrome:
- Click the in the top-right of the Chrome window
- Point your cursor to Extensions.
- Click the Visit Chrome Web Store option.
- In the Chrome webstore, use the Search to search for LeadDesk.
- Click LeadDesk Talk.
- Click the Add to Chrome button.
- If prompted for permission, click Add extension.
Review settings
Next, you should review the settings for the extension.
- Click the in the top-right of the Chrome window
- Point your cursor to Extensions.
- Click Manage Extensions.
- Find the LeadDesk Talk extension in the list.
- To make sure the extension is enabled, check the toggle in the bottom right is switched on.
- Click the Details button for more options.
We recommend the following settings:
- Allow in incognito - enabled, if you want to use click-to-dial when in incognito mode.
- Allows access to file URLs - enabled.
- Click the Extension options for more specific settings.
- Patterns - Tells the extension what number formatting pattern to expect.
- Number prefix - Allows you to insert a prefix to a number you found online, changing, for instance, a local number to an international format.
- Open LeadDesk Talk in - When you click on a number you find, should it try to open LeadDesk in a browser in the in the Windows application.
- Automatic calls - Indicate whether or not a number will be automatically called, and if so how many seconds it should wait before calling.
- Once you have selected your preference, click the Apply button.
