Release in progress: This release is in the process of being rolled out. It can take several working days before it is available to all clients. This note will be removed when this release is available to all.
As well as security updates, this release features:
Admin renewal: Call robots
Continuing the work to refresh some of the old Admin UI, the Overview page's Call robots subpage is next. As with the earlier Deals page update, no options have been removed, but the filters are now accessed from their own button, and you have the option of hiding table columns that aren't useful to you.
How it works
In addition to the changes to the filter and columns settings, this update also brings several new features of note:
- Filter options are expanded. As well as filtering by Project, you can now also filter by Call robot status, Agent status and Agents.
- The page normally shows three tables, Call robots, Projects and Agents. Click the buttons next to Show to decide which tables are useful for you.
- Column settings are available for all three tables on the Call robots page.
- Each table has its own Search field.
- Help text is now available as tooltips on each column heading.
- When creating or editing a robot, invalid values are highlighted with messages explaining what needs correcting. Working times must use 15-minute intervals.
How to use it
- Go to the Overview page.
- Go to the Call robots subpage.
- Click the filter button
to apply filters to the page.
- Click the settings icon
to the right of the table headings to hide any columns you aren't interested in.
Improved management of addresses for outbound phone numbers
To streamline the process of managing verified addresses for your outbound phone numbers, we have added a new page to create addresses. Once approved those addresses can then be easily applied to one or more phone numbers, as needed.
How it works
- Add addresses on the new Address page. This now includes uploading a verification document.
- LeadDesk approves the address.
- Once approved, the address can be associated with multiple phone numbers without needing to revalidate.
- The address can now be used for outbound numbers on the Phone numbers page.
How to use it
Address can now be added in the new Address page. For full instructions see the article Addresses associated with your outbound numbers .To access the page:
- Go to the Settings page.
- Go to the Addresses sub page.
Once an address has been added and verified, it can be associated with your outbound numbers on the Phone numbers page.
Bug fixes and functional improvements
- Admin - A dash/hyphen ("-") is now allowed in the sender name of an SMS template.
- Outbound/Omni - Improved housekeeping when agent moves between VoIP switches.
- Outbound/Omni - If a call is placed on hold before making an assisted transfer the customer is taken off hold either when the transfer completes, or when the number being transferred to hangs up.
- Omni - Strengthened protection of attachments associated with shielded contacts in outbound email history.
- Omni - A snoozed conversation waking up no longer interrupts agents working on another conversation.
- Omni - Agents with access to view queues can now filter the list by project as intended.
- Omni - if the agent turns a call into a conference call by adding a number which plays an announcement or queue music, the agent will now hear that, rather than a ringtone playing until the call is answered.
- Outbound - The Hang up button is now briefly disabled for inbound calls until call data exists. Previously, if agents were very fast hanging up a call offered to them, instead of answering it, they could get unexpected error messages.
- Outbound - If you have B2B activated on your client, agents can create orders without calls and not lose company details, as intended.
- Outbound - If you have call blending switched on and your VoIP connection is interrupted, the blending will be switched on after the VoIP is restored.
