Release notes 24.3: Talk the Talk – LeadDesk Support

Please note that this release follows from release r84.99. Releases in 2024 will be numbered as release 24.x.

Talk

This release sees many quality of life updates for LeadDesk's Talk application:

Agents can now send SMS messages, including using templates, that are longer than 160 characters.
If an agent receives a temporary ban on inbound calls, or reloads the page, they will not receive calls, as intended.
Agents are now be able to remove system notifications (for example after receiving a ban) as intended.
Agents will receive a notification if the browser has no microphone connected, or lacks permission to use it.
Call ending reasons that transfer calls are now hidden for Talk agents (when the Project requires call ending reasons), as the functionality is not supported.
Logging out of CTI in Talk no longer displays an error on the login screen.
Talk will prevent agents from logging out while on a call, or when a call is ringing.
Trying to send an SMS template that uses the {agent.workphone} when the agent has no work phone set will now generate a more informative error.
Omni projects will not be available to select as the campaign in Talk.

In the Overview page, the Callbacks subpage had taken to appearing twice, unless you had enabled the new Conversations page. The Callbacks page is back to appearing only once.

Fixed a case where the rich text editor formatting controls could display incorrectly when editing manual emails.

Improved handling of call recording to reduce the chance of data being lost with network problems.
