Q. A call recipient gets many emails/SMS messages from an agent using LeadDesk - and complains to LeadDesk that they have not given permission – what is the LeadDesk response?

A. LeadDesk is not responsible for the use of LeadDesk Contacts data. The email/SMS recipient should contact the sender, usually the agent, call center or their client (the product owner). It is their responsibility to be compliant with all applicable legislation regarding e.g. permissions.

The LeadDesk customers (e.g. sales organizations, call centers etc. ) that use the LeadDesk Contacts service are responsible for their use of the data and compliance with all applicable data protection laws and any other laws.
